RE-ELECT
REGINA MAESTRI
For Pueblo City Council At Large
About Me

I am committed to restoring Pueblo to fiscal health and building a cleaner, safer environment for all residents. As a long time Pueblo resident and current District 1 Representative, I am now running for a Pueblo City Council At Large seat to continue serving our community.
For the past four years, I’ve been known as a fiscally conservative leader who brings a direct, genuine, and consistent approach to governance.

Experience
I have been on the Pueblo City Council for almost four years as the District 1 Representative.
With crucial, hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the city's charter and laws, I understand my role and the boundaries of the two governing bodies – the mayoral office and city council – which are equal in their governance, but lack checks and balances within the operations of the city management under the mayor.
Under the strong mayoral system, the mayor has the authority to address matters such as potholes, crime, code enforcement, preparation of the budget, and any other subjects regarding the administrative duties.
City Council creates policies through ordinances and resolutions, approves contracts, and funds the administration requests so they can operate, maintain, and build new infrastructure.
Accountability
I advocate for a government where officials are responsible for their decisions and actions.
I envision an investigative legal team to ensure that government policies and actions are transparent and that any issues are addressed directly and swiftly for the benefit of the public.
“There’s the good, the bad, the ugly, but truth always prevails”.

Transparency
To me, transparency is defined as "open communication of record." I believe the truth and facts about city operations should be openly accessible to every citizen.
My goal is to ensure all public information is available and that leaders are straightforward in their communication, allowing for an informed and engaged community.
This approach is essential for effective and trustworthy governance.
Regina's Vision
Restore Pueblo
I am committed to restoring Pueblo to a government that is transparent and held accountable for its actions.
My priorities are fiscal responsibility and prioritizing municipal dollars for their intended purpose: the city's new infrastructure, maintenance, and operations. I have consistently stood against unnecessary spending and budget deficits. I have not approved a mayor's budget since I have been elected due to their multi-million dollar deficiencies.
I will continue adopting policies that keep public lands clean and safe, such as the camping ban ordinance, and policies that act as tools for community safety, like funding public safety departments.
I will always be your voice of transparency, accountability, and experience in financial matters concerning the city.
